Course Description

This course focuses on the study of pharmacodynamic therapies of antibiotics used in professional nursing as it relates to nursing and advanced practice. Dynamics between practitioner practice and patient responses to drug therapy, teaching, psycho-social, and economic factors affecting antibiotic use are discussed. The decision-making of the nurse practicing in an expanded role related to antimicrobial therapy is also included.
