The average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 13% (1 in 8). Examine breast screening guidelines, throughout the lifetime, including the problem that not all guidelines are in agreement. Review risk factors for breast cancer, both and modifiable and non-modifiable. Evaluate some models for assessing breast cancer risk. Identify the standard modalities for breast imaging including mammography, 3D Tomosynthesis, ultrasound and breast MRI. Become familiar with the best practices for performing a clinical breast exam and distinguish when to send a patient for imaging.
